See what some our students our saying about lessons at LB Music School.
I would say if you’re interested in music, don’t wait! I regret not doing this much earlier in life. – Lisa G.
I decided to start taking music lessons because I had put it off for far too long for a number of reasons. I have a musical family and was always singing growing up, although never in front of anyone–the proverbial shower singer. 🙂 When I finally decided to find a music school, I lucked out in that LB Music School is such a good fit.
I can’t possibly pick one thing I like about taking music lessons! I’m learning guitar and voice and I’ve been a part of LB Music School for almost 4 years now. I love the quality of instruction, the support from the instructors and other students, and learning music! Also, it really feels like a community at the school and I’ve made very good friends! I’ve learned so much by realizing that my voice is an instrument, just like guitar, and that I have far more control over it than I ever realized.
I would say if you’re interested in music, don’t wait! I regret not doing this much earlier in life. Music really is creative expression, and the beauty of creativity is that everyone has something to offer in their own way.
Not only has my daughter gained musical knowledge, but she also has a great sense of self confidence now after seeing what she is capable of. – Rachel D.
Leah has been taking piano lessons for two years now. She expressed an interest in learning an instrument and we decided to start with the piano mainly because we thought it to be a good starting point for a 6 year old. And honestly, nothing but good could come out of this learning experience for her so we did not think twice about signing her up for piano lessons.
She took to the piano and her fabulous instructor immediately. One year later, she has learned to read music and memorized many songs and has put a few of them to good use. She played “Happy Birthday” for me as I prepared to blow out my candles this past October (How awesome is that?!)
What I like most about taking music lessons is how it has made me much more confident in myself. It makes me feel good about myself when I hear myself play and it actually sounds good. – Zach M.
I decided to start taking music lessons last year because I have always been fascinated when watching musicians play and wondered how they were able to make those sounds come from an instrument. In elementary school I had always wanted to play a musical instrument, but I knew it was a big commitment and a lot of hard work so I never pursued it. As I got older and entered middle school I was able to manage my time better and asked my Mom if she could sign me up for some guitar lessons.
What I like most about taking music lessons is how it has made me much more confident in myself. It makes me feel good about myself when I hear myself play and it actually sounds good.
Always remember that nothing comes easy and it is a lot of hard work but it is so rewarding and it is also a lot of fun. All the teachers at LB Music School are there to help and want to see you succeed.
I have no music background…After a year, I’m playing the Stones, Eagles and Buffet with enough skill to earn compliments from my wife and kids. – George M
“I’m a 53 year old lawyer with three teenagers. I started taking lessons last year and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have no music background and no “natural talent”, but I love music. I look forward to my weekly lessons because it’s a total change from the rest of my life. The approach is steady and gauged towards results…After a year, I’m playing the Stones, Eagles and Buffet with enough skill to earn compliments from my wife and kids, difficult critics to say the least.”
“I’ve seen tons of improvement, but most importantly what other people have told me about my voice.
My band members in particular. We hadn’t been playing for about a month and when I came back, everyone was talking about and really complimented on my voice…just within a month they were already able to tell the difference in my voice…What I enjoy a lot now that I’ve taken lessons for two and a half years is the fact that I’ve always written my own songs. Now I can take my own songs and put then in a higher key and it sounds much nicer. – Mariana, singing lessons
“I’ve made more progress in the past 6 months that I have in the past 20 years.
“I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years but I really haven’t improved much, so I decided to get some professional help…it’s been a great experience for me.
If you want to improve, you’re going to improve faster if you take lessons. You can always go on the web and look things up and learn things, but your rate of improvement is going to improve if you have somebody watching you and guiding you through what you’re doing. It’s a really good investment if you are looking to step up your game and become a better player.” – Todd, guitar lessons
